What would Granollers be like if we represented its people? 65,346 inhabitants<\/strong> across 500 neighbors? How many men and women would there be in each neighborhood? Where would they have been born and what education would they have?<\/p>\n

With these questions is how the project<\/strong> \u201cWhat if there were 500 of us\u2026\u201d To answer them we commissioned a mathematician<\/strong> from the City Council to make the calculations for each of the neighborhoods<\/strong> of the city. Now we know, for example, how many women born in Andalusia and with higher education we would have in the Hostal neighborhood. And so, with all the remainder<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

But we haven't stopped there. With the help of neighborhood and citizen associations, we are locating<\/strong> these people to invite them to make a photography<\/strong>. It will be the image of the 500 granollerins and granollerines, scheduled for April 11th at Sports Palace<\/strong>, the same space where the International Congress of Educating Cities will be held from May 26 to 29, 2026.<\/p>\n

The project \u201cWhat if we were 500\u2026\u201d will not end here. The meeting will be used to generate group dynamics<\/strong> that allow them to experiment on a key question: Who are we?<\/strong> What is our city like?<\/p>\n

All of this to discover the great number of views that there are in Granollers. All different<\/strong> and plurals, but also with many things in common<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Thus, beyond photography, which will have its obvious leading role within the Congress, this project will also be used to generate conversations<\/strong> that perhaps would never have happened. Dialogues between different people. At a time when we need to get out of our bubble, now more than ever.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat if we were 500\u2026\u201d is intended to be the starting point for creating a meeting point<\/strong> between diverse people. Because only by losing the fear of what is different can we create community<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Here we have the file referring to the 2,575 women who live in Sota el Cam\u00ed Ral neighborhood<\/strong>. For the \u201cWhat if we were 500\u2026\u201d project, 20 women from this neighborhood will be needed. One, for example, will have to have born in Morocco<\/strong>, be between 15 and 19 years old and have primary and secondary education<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Another must be between 40 and 44 years old, born in Catalonia<\/strong> and with a higher academic degree. A woman of\u2019Andalusian origin<\/strong> between 85 and 89 years old who has not completed primary school.<\/p>\n
