Ejerce tambi\u00e9n como te\u00f3rico de la imagen fotogr\u00e1fica y como editor fotogr\u00e1fico, impulsando la fotograf\u00eda contempor\u00e1nea a trav\u00e9s de numerosos eventos, jornadas y exposiciones.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Su producci\u00f3n art\u00edstica, multifac\u00e9tica, gira en torno a <strong>la verosimilitud de la imagen y su capacidad para representar y suplantar el mundo real<\/strong>. De hecho, tanto sus trabajos te\u00f3ricos como su fotograf\u00eda cuestionan la verdad que se le supone en la imagen. Le interesa la funci\u00f3n social de la fotograf\u00eda, su uso p\u00fablico y la intoxicaci\u00f3n de la informaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Desde finales de los a\u00f1os ochenta, Fontcuberta ha expuesto regularmente en los centros de arte m\u00e1s prestigiosos del mundo, y entre los m\u00faltiples premios recibidos, destaca el prestigioso <strong>Premio Internacional de Fotograf\u00eda Hasselblad en 2013<\/strong>. En 2020 la Universidad de Par\u00eds VIII le concedi\u00f3 el t\u00edtulo Doctor Honoris Causa.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Su obra se encuentra en <strong>colecciones destacadas<\/strong> como el MoMA de Nueva York, el Metropolitan Museo de Arte de Nueva York, el Instituto de Chicago Art, el Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sof\u00eda de Madrid, el Centro Pompidou de Par\u00eds y el MACBA de Barcelona, entre otros.<\/p>\n<h4 align=\"left\"><span lang=\"ca-ES\">Obras destacadas<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><strong>El beso de Judas.
