From January to March, more than 600 students from the Faculty of Education of the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) will visit Granollers. They will do so to learn, first-hand, about the work the city is carrying out within the international movement of Educating Cities.
This Friday, January 23, there will be the first visit to the Granollers Museum's auditorium. This first session will be attended by more than 60 university students. During the following weeks, there will be a dozen meetings distributed between the months of January and March.
All students are taking the subject. Education and Educational Contexts (ECE), from the first year of the degrees in pedagogy, social education, primary education and early childhood education. In addition, during two weekends in March, there will also be four sessions with students of the Interuniversity Master's Degree in Youth and Society that is held at the UAB.
The sessions will be used for students to reflect on the educational role of cities, explaining what the concept of an educating city is and what the working framework of the city is.’International Association of Educating Cities.
The interest of these students and teachers from the Autonomous University was generated following the presentation of the International Congress of Educating Cities, which was held last October during the inauguration of the 25/26 academic year at the Faculty of Education.
