Marina Garcés is philosopher, essayist and teacher of Contemporary Philosophical and Scientific Thought at the Open University of Catalonia, where she also directs the Master's degree in Philosophy for Contemporary Challenges. She has been a professor at the University of Zaragoza for fifteen years and has taught at the Pompeu Fabra University and the University of Girona.
His thinking is situated in a perspective of critical thinking oriented towards action and emancipation. He conceives philosophy as a way of life linked not only to academia, but also to the social and cultural movements, understood as spaces for experimentation, criticism and commitment.
She is the author of an extensive work in the field of critical thinking, politics, education and the humanities. Among his books are Nova il·lustració radical (2017), awarded the Ciutat de Barcelona Essay Prize, Escola d'aprenents (2020) and Pedagogies i emancipació (2020).
