Political and municipal technical representatives Twenty-five town councils from the State Network of Educating Cities met this Thursday and Friday at the Can Palots Theatre Auditorium, in Canovelles. The meeting, which was attended by around 40 participants from the Basque Country, Andalusia, Galicia, Asturias and the Valencian Community, was jointly organised by the Town Councils of Granollers and Canovelles.

The meeting is part of the Thematic network for education and culture, which has been organised by Granollers Town Council since 2023. Specifically, this network works around the axes of community, critical thinking, and creativity, on which there will also be reflection at the XVIII International Congress of Educating Cities What will happen in Granollers from 26th to 29th May.

Following an initial theoretical phase, which took place between 2024 and 2025, this week's meeting has served to kick off the second phase of the network, much more focused on the Project practice. This is why, in Canovelles, dynamics of experience analysis and the creation of new proposals have been carried out.

In addition to working meetings, the participants also held a Study visit at the Ca l’Estrada II archaeological site, to learn about the educational project «Let's sponsor our heritage», a visit which was attended by students from Els Quatre Vents school. In addition, the educational project on peace culture «Close by, close by: Mycelium effect», which is carried out in the secondary schools of Canovelles, was also explained.
