New Reading Guide for the XVIII International Congress of Educational Cities
The Granollers Libraries have made a selection of books linked to the congress's themes.
What Granollers Libraries You have elaborated a reading guide linked to the thematic axes of the XVIII International Congress of Educating Cities, which will be held from 26 to 29 May in the city. The proposal includes a Book selection which dialogues with the major debates posed by the congress and which invite reflection on the role of learning cities in the face of social, cultural and democratic challenges.
The guide includes works related to issues such as coexistence, citizen participation, diversity, critical thinking, public space, and community building. Through literature, essays, and contemporary thought, the initiative seeks broaden the horizons on the themes that will run through the congress. Many of the works featured in the guide are part of the extensive bibliography of fourteen members of congress.
The website of the 18th International Congress of Educating Cities is also building a resource bank Ambassador books, films, photographs, television adverts, paintings, plays and websites which are related to the three thematic axes of the congress: community, critical thinking, and creativity. All the books in this reading guide will also be available soon in this resource bank.
